I have always enjoyed being around children. Becoming a mom at a young age helped guide me into working with children. I adore being with this age group. I love the children’s innocence and honesty as they see the world. I get a kick out of their sense of humor. It means a lot to me to hopefully offer each child a solid, good foundation in life. Something I keep in mind is that it is the child that are the teachers - we learn from them.
At age 18, I worked at a home daycare, and at the age of 19, I began training to work with children with special needs. Everything changed when I became a parent. In 1988, I started working in a Montessori classroom and have continued to do so since then. I’ve training in basic education, child development, early childhood classes. In 1999, I received my Montessori Certificate. Life skills are my most significant accomplishments :)
