Discovery Montessori Preschool's program is designed to meet the needs of the young child in accordance with the principles established by Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952).
She believed that a child's natural ability to learn must be cultivated in a warm and supportive environment, with touchable, entertaining educational materials, thoughtfully crafted to teach concepts. A child must develop the love for learning at an early age or it may never be accomplished.
Discovery Montessori Preschool offers much more for children than simply daycare.

The Montessori Method of teaching offers children a chance to become enchanted with the love of learning by exploring the carefully prepared environment.
Our center provides a child driven program with the staff guiding and encouraging children at their own pace. We help each child perfect his or her natural tools, or building blocks for future learning. We provide an extensive collection of specialized Montessori learning materials, which are child friendly and inviting, displayed on accessible open shelves.
Our children work together in a multi-age classroom where we encourage cooperation and where children learn from each other in a natural community environment. Our goal is to create an environment where self-expression and learning are enjoyable, for both individual development and group learning.
